Improv Comes To Folkestone
Seaside Scenes on the Kent Coast

A lively improv scene is emerging in Folkestone, led by the brilliant performer and teacher Lucy Trodd and her company Folkestone Improv Theatre (FIT).
Founded in 2024, FIT runs regular courses, workshops, and community jams for all experience levels, building a space for people to learn and perform improv on the Kent coast.
This year, they have settled into a new home at The Loft for The FIT Improv Show - a monthly night of improvised comedy, games, music and new formats. Shows are running on the first Wednesday of the month through to July.
Alongside regular performances, FIT continues to bring in top guest teachers from across the UK for their ‘FIT Weekenders’. Next up is a ‘Building Improv Characters’ workshop with Susan Harrison on the 11th April, offering improvisers a chance to develop their skillsets.
With a new venue, expanding programme and a growing community of “Fitties”, FIT is putting Folkestone firmly on the improv map.
